AIC Sullivan's Environmental Services enables Envirosystems, with offices in Sydney and Port Hawkesbury, to fully cover services in industrial Cape Breton. A significant presence in this region will allow us to increase services to existing customers and position the company to play a major role in the cleanup of contaminated sites in the Sydney area.
Vacuum Excavation
Gone are the days when replacing a water service box or installing a utility pole would require major excavation. With vacuum excavation, the project is confined to the immediate work area eliminating the requirements for expensive concrete, asphalt or landscaping repairs upon completion of the job. Using high power suction and high pressure water, the soil is quickly broken down, then extracted via an 8" suction hose.
This soil is taken away for disposal after the job is completed. After necessary repairs are complete, the excavation site is filled with clean backfill material. The original sod and topsoil, which were set aside, are put back in place. Any concrete or asphalt removal, which may be necessary, is minimal. This is all performed with one vehicle, eliminating congestion and time.
The service eliminates the need for a backhoe, dump truck, excavation cribbing, labour, etc. This type of excavation also eliminates possible damage to cables, wires, pipelines, etc, which may lie below the surface of the planned excavation area since no digging is taking place. Thus, vacuum excavation saves time and money!
